Cocobolo is a dense, oil-rich hardwood valued for its stability and distinctive grain. It is a popular choice for players who want to move beyond poly and into a wooden practice chanter without the additional weight of solid nickel fittings.

This version features a lightweight imitation ivory sole and stainless steel ferrule, giving it a clean, refined appearance while keeping the overall feel balanced and comfortable.

Every Gibson practice chanter now includes our new Moisture-Control Top as standard. The removable mouthpiece helps manage moisture during regular practice, while the open internal design avoids adding noticeable airflow resistance and preserves the familiar response and playing characteristics of the Gibson practice chanter line.

Because Cocobolo is a natural material, color and grain will vary from one chanter to another.
