This kit includes everything a beginner needs to get started correctly. If you’re new to piping and not sure where to begin, this is the setup we recommend.
Practice Chanter (Choose One)
✔ Long Poly Practice Chanter — Standard / Recommended Our most popular option and the standard choice for most beginners. Durable, comfortable, and used by the majority of new pipers. Overall length: 20 inches
Regular / Short Poly Practice Chanter (Alternate Fit) A shorter version suitable for kids or players with a smaller stature. Finger hole spacing is identical to the long chanter. Overall length: 17 inches Select this only if you know you need a shorter chanter.

Poly chanters typically ship in 2–4 business days. Wood chanters typically ship in 10–15 business days. If you need your order by a specific date, contact us and we’ll do our best to meet your timeline.
Instruction Note
Many beginners learn on their own using this kit. Working with an instructor can be helpful if one is available, but it is not required to get started.
